My First Experiance at VGP School of Management as MBA Student.....

EPISODE 1

Me & My Dad in Chennai for the 2nd time, this time came as a Student, got down at Chennai Central @7am from Chennai Express and looking for auto towards Injambakkam{ which is nearly more than 1 and half hour journey from Chennai central } with a Biggg Box of Luggage. Hiring a coolie was again a big problem, as they were demanding more price. Autowala refused as that big box is not allowed in auto as per rules. So forcefully needed to catch RTC Bus, still same problem ! My Dad himself took the luggage from auto stand to bus stand...Bus fellow didnt allow first, but later agreed after giving lot of explanation in unknown, confused Tamil.
Myself just watching & observing everything, neither speaking nor helping ......as my Dad was taking care of everything in between so many obstacles.
Journey was good & safe. Enjoyed traveling, we dint speak anything in bus also....at last we came to injambakkam. . My dad spoke to the Manager Balakrishnan...very soft spoken & caring person took my responsibility for the next two years.

My dad need to rush immediately after leaving me in the campus to catch Charminar Express @ 6 pm  the same  day. We dint even have time to share good & bad. The most important point here is I am the only girl joined @ VGP among total strength of 30 students and need to stay in the Hostel which is in the campus along with boys whose hostel is just few miles away. My sr.s are 60 students stay in the same campus and there also only one girl but stays outside the campus. so 59+29 boys and me in the campus, dont know what my father was thinking......he never shared but rushed immediately leaving me obviously with heavy heart and hiding whole grievance from his face silently....
My eyes were full of water.....but could not speak anything, heart was beating heavily but still silent! My father sat in the bus just in front of campus leaving me all alone first time ever in my life. We both just looking at each other.....silently! Wanted to say something but dont know how to say.....as just the bust went off from the sight and my dad also.......! The only sentence said by him before leaving was "i will call u after reaching home, if u have any queries, contact the manager, he will take care".

I went and started setting things the room and the day closed and it was 7pm as I saw a group of boys coming.....towards my room.... Contd !

A Beautiful Letter from My Father

I am writing this to you because of 3  reasons

  1.    Life, fortune and mishaps are unpredictable, nobody  knows how long he lives. Some words are better said early.
  2.    I am your father, and if I don't tell you these, no one else will.
  3.   What is written is my own personal bitter experiences that perhaps could save you a lot of unnecessary heartaches.

Remember the following as you go through life
1.   Do not bear grudge towards those who are not good to you. No one has the responsibility of treating you well, except your mother and I. To those who are good to you, you have to treasure it and be thankful, and ALSO you have to be cautious, because, everyone has a motive for every move. When a person is good to you, it does not mean he really likes you. You have to be  careful, don't hastily regard him as a real friend.
2.  No one is  indispensable, nothing in the world that you must possess. Once you understand this idea, it would be easier for you to go through life when people around you don't want you anymore, or when you lose what/who you love most.
3.  Life is short. When you waste your life today, tomorrow you would find that life is leaving you. The earlier you treasure your life, the better you enjoy life.
4.  Love is but a transient feeling, and this feeling would fade with time and with one's mood. If your so called loved one leaves you, be patient, time will wash away your aches and sadness. Don't over exaggerate the beauty and sweetness of love, and don't over exaggerate the sadness of falling out of  love.
5. A lot of successful  people did not receive a good education, that does not mean that you can be successful by not studying hard! Whatever knowledge you gain is your weapon in life. One can go from rags to riches, but one has to start from some  rags!
6. I do not expect you to financially support me when I am old, neither would I financially support you for whole life. My responsibility as a supporter ends when you are grown up. After that, you decide whether you want to travel in a public transport or in your limousine, whether rich or poor.
7.  You honour your words, but don't expect others to be so. You can be good to people, but don't expect people to be good to you. If you don't understand this, you would end up with unnecessary troubles.
8.  I have bought lotteries for umpteen years, but I never strike any prize. That shows if you want to be rich, you have to  work hard! There is no free lunch!
9.  No matter how much time I have with you, let's  treasure the time we have together. We do not know if we would meet again in our next  life.

Your  Dad.

THE OBEDIENT WIFE

There was a man, who had worked all his life, had saved all of his money, and was a real miser when it came to his money.
Just before he died, he said to his wife..’when I die, I want you to take all my money and put it in the casket with me.
I want to take my money to the afterlife with me.’
And so he got his wife to promise him, with all her heart, that when he died, she would put all of the money into the casket with him.
Well, he died.
He was stretched out in the casket, his wife was sitting there-dressed in black, and her  friend was sitting next to her. When they finished the ceremony, and just before the undertakers got ready to close the casket, the wife said,
Wait, just a moment.
She had a small metal box with her; she came over with the box  and put it in the casket. Then the undertakers locked the casket down and they rolled it away.
So her friend said, ‘girl, I know you were not foolish enough to put all that money in there with your husband.’
The loyal wife replied,  Listen I promised ! I cannot go back on my word. I promised him that I was going to put that money into the casket with him.’
You mean to tell me you put that money in the casket with him!?!?!?!?!’
‘I sure did,’ said the wife.
I got it all together, put it into my account, and wrote him a cheque…..
If he can cash it, then he can spend it.’
Send this to every clever women you know, and to every man who thinks they are smarter than women!!!!!!

I asked God why I wasn’t Rich :-He showed me a man with the wealth of a thousand Kings, who was lonely, and had no one to share it with.

I asked God why I wasn’t Rich :-He showed me a man with the wealth of a thousand Kings, who was lonely, and had no one to share it with.

I asked God why I wasn’t beautiful:- He showed me a woman more beautiful than any other, who was ugly because of her vanity.

I asked God why He’d allowed me to become old:-He showed me a girl of 10 who lay dead at the swimming pool.

I asked God why I didn’t have a bigger house:- He showed me a family of six, who had just been evicted from their tiny shack, and were forced, to live on the street.

I asked God why I wasn’t more popular:- He showed me a socialite with a thousand friends, who all left the moment the money and parties were no longer there.

I asked God why I wasn’t smarter:- He showed me a natural born genius serving life in prison for making ill use of his knowledge.

I’ve been through the storm, but look at me….! I’m still standing, I’m still here………If it doesn’t kill you….It will make you stronger.

Are your problems weighing heavy on your heart?

Give your burden to God and know, then, that you are loved.
